History Of Satpura National Park
The Satpura National Park was initially discovered by Captain James Forsyth of the Bengal Lancers in 1862. Later it was decided to declare the reserve forest. and declared as a National Park and Sanctuary by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh. After this, the Government of India declared the Satpura Tiger Reserve as a Tiger Reserve along with its adjacent Bori and Pachmarhi sanctuaries.
