Flora and Fauna at Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

Many herbal medicinal plants are also found here. The sanctuary has 81 species of trees, 89 species of shrubs and 17 species of plants. The forests here have 3 species of wild rose and 16 species of phosphorous and bryophytes and algae. Bamboo forests are present in the south western part of the sanctuary.
There are many endangered species of fauna in this sanctuary. Here you can see rare hyenas and jackals. Lions are also found in the sanctuary which were last seen in 1970. Wild cat, hyena, jackal, common langur, wild boar, rhinoceros, Indian hare, elephant and fox live in the sanctuary. This sanctuary provides the ideal environment for lazy bears. The sanctuary is very special for bird lovers. Because there are more than 250 species of birds here.
Jeep Safari
In Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, tourists can roam and see the entire sanctuary well with the help of jeep safaris. The fee for visiting the sanctuary in a jeep safari is Rs 300 per person. But let us tell you that this fee goes up to Rs 600 per person in the tourist season.

How To Reach Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary
Mount Abu is a very famous place. Here one can hire a taxi or car to reach the sanctuary from any part of Mount Abu. The nearest airport is Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is located 177 km from Mount Abu. To travel by train, many trains will be available from Jaipur and Ahmedabad to Mount Abu. One has to take a long route to reach Mount Abu by train. State transport buses will be available to reach Mount Abu Sanctuary. After this, they can reach Mount Abu Sanctuary by road from Udaipur with the help of private car or taxi.
