Aurangzeb’s Invasion

The front part of the temple was demolished during the invasion of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1736. Many elephants of its Gajthar and some part near the outer gate were broken by the invaders. After that Maharana Sangram Singh II again got the temple repaired. He had also put new elephants in place in the row of broken elephants in the temple. Which you get to see in the present day.
