Architecture Of Hemis Monastery

Hemis Monastery is built in the wonderful architecture of Tibetan style. Hemis Gompa is divided into two main parts. One part of it is called the Sabha Bhawan or Dukhang and the main part is called the temple, it is called Shongkhang. The main building has a pure white color on the walls. The entrance to the complex is through a large gate. He reaches the rectangular courtyard. The walls of the monastery are adorned with paintings of religious figures. The Hemis festival is celebrated once in 11 years. This festival is held in the courtyard of Hemis Gompa for two days with great fanfare in the months of June/July. During the festival, the locals wear traditional Tibetan clothes. And the llamas dance. Which is a major attraction of this festival.
